WANTED - Baby-Faced Godfrey - Reward Offered

This is not the 'face of an angel'.  It is my face though.  Daddy is calling me 'Baby-Face Godfrey' because I am now a criminal.  Yesterday, when I was shopping with Daddy and Noah, I stole a Tunnock's Tea-cake from HMV.  Daddy didn't spot it until two shops later - but he made us go back and pay for it or I don't think he would have been able to look Mr Boyd Tunnock in the face again.  I can't say that it was a theft driven by need as I didn't even eat the tea-cake but I just squashed the marshmallow between my fingers. I've been told that I have to pay the 35p back when I start to get pocket money and I've also been given a three week sentence on the naughty step! Daddy says my true villain nature is beginning to emerge (along with the gingery tinge in my hair); Yesterday a Teacake - Tomorrow The World!  Mooha, Moohaha, Moohahaha! (That's my evil laugh.) Now back to my secret hideout built under the sand-pit.

P.S. The 'Reward' that was mentioned in the title isn't really being offered.  Sorry.

More Messy Food!

We have done nothing exciting recently.  Mummy has been working, Daddy has been working, Noah is not 100% himself, it's not been the most interesting of times. When life is dull, you have to entertain yourself, so I've started enthusiastically exploring food - any food and every food.  I last blogged about messy food and now I've found more food that is not only messy, but quite tricky to get to your mouth!  It's spaghetti!!  Once you've mastered the whole sucking thing it makes eating it a little easier.  Mummy also said that be healthy I have to "eat my greens" so I've started to pick my own in order to get my five-a-day!

I'm sure life will get a little more exciting soon.  We are now officially on holiday count-down - only 34 sleeps to go.  I hope the weather improves a little though, it's been like winter again - wet and windy - just like my nappy!  Roll on the summer!

Is all food this messy?

Is all food this messy?   I'm quite enjoying my food at the moment.  Mummy's Macaroni Cheese and Daddy's Scrambled Eggs are favourites but my favourite favourite is corn-on-the-cob and I also like pears.  In the pictures I am modelling Tomato Soup a lunch-time favourite and Chocolate Pudding - I'm a girl, need I say more?  Since the last time I blogged, I have really cracked this walking thing.  I have pushed through another tooth - which helps with the eating thing, and Daddy says I've developed a sense of humour.  The other night I was lying next to Daddy in bed and he and me were sniffing in the dark.  After Daddy sniffed, I got Mummy's hanky from under her pillow and wiped his nose for him!

ThI've ThBurnt MyTh LipTh!

I've burnt my lip on a Gregg's Sausage roll!  Curse you Gregg's for making a sausage roll that appeared cold on the outside but was burny on the inside.  My lip has blistered slightly, but it hasn't really stopped me from eating.  Whilst we are on news of my mouth, I have a new tooth!
We have been crazy busy as a family and I'm not sure why.  Mummy has been working and Daddy has been working so we have played at Gran and Papa's a bit.  We have also been going to the park lots as the weather has been nice.  Today we went to a huge park called Rouken Glen - it was fab and we had a picnic and spent hours there.  It's been a nice, not-so-busy day today.  Last night we went swimming and I love the water!  I went down the slides with Daddy and Noah nearly drowned when he stepped into deep water by himself but he was OK after Daddy pulled him out after a couple of seconds and he didn't even cry or anything.

I'm Walking! I'm Walking! - Oh, and Happy Birthday Daddy!

Look at me!  Look what I learnt to do this weekend!  I've been practising my walking for a little while now, but I think I can finally say that I am walking - even if it is only a little.  My mostest steps are 15, but I only need about six to get around the house!
Today was baking hot again so Mummy and Daddy took me and Noah to the 'Sand Park'.  It's a good place to learn to walk as the landing is soft.  It was nice to wear summer clothes too - although I have a big head so some of my hats are a little small.

Yesterday we went on a family trip because it was my Daddy's Birthday on Friday.  We went on a steam train which was good because we had a train-picnic on the train.  I had a sandwich and a gingerbread man and some juice and then I knocked Daddy's tea all over his lap.  Daddy is good in those kind of situations and he didn't get angry because it was an accident.  He did threaten to throw me in the lake though when we got off the train, but I know he was only joking.

After our train ride we got on a big boat. I had a boat-picnic as we sat outside in the sunshine.  It was also fun looking over the rail at the water and I played peak-a-boo with a little girl.  Once we got off a boat we had found a nice park and a third picnic!  I also played football with Mummy and Noah and had a lovely time.  It's always the same at any celebration - you eat far more than you really should - Happy Birthday my Daddy!

Guess the Landmark!

Can you guess the landmark I'm pretending to be?  Here's a couple of clues.  She's French, but not in France.  She lives in a city whose nickname is fruity.  She stand on her own island.  Can you guess yet, before my ice-cream melts?  I'm the Statue of Liberty!  By the way, how big does my ice-cream look in that photo?
The last few days have been a bit busy - but nothing too exciting.  Yesterday was Mummy's Day - and Noah and me got her a Toberone, which we had after sharing Mummy's breakfast whilst we were still in bed, and we got her some lovely perfume.  My Mummy is a good one - so I hope she had a lovely day.
We spent most of last week shopping for Mummy's Day, but today was a 'Day with Daddy'.  The weather was wet and windy and the kids are not at school, so we didn't do much today.  Daddy did take us to Nandos for lunch and then I had an ice-cream after my tea!  A 'Day with Daddy' is usually full of treats, often messy and usually end with a bath before Mummy comes home!

Happy Birthday Auntie Tor!

Today is my Auntie Tor's Birthday!  Happy Birthday Auntie Tor!  I hope you have a lovely day and get to eat lots of food and especially lots of cake - I like birthday cake.
I've been helping Mum in the garden recently and I really like worms.  We have lots of them in the garden and the are wiggly and great.  Don't be mistaken, I'm not eating one in the picture below, that's just a sweetie Daddy gave me.
I'm still a little snotty, but I'm better than I was. On Friday night I went to the last ice hockey game of the season with Mummy and Daddy.  There was a great big fight and three of the players had to sit in the penalty box right below where I was sitting.  It was great.  Daddy and Mummy also got me some Pom Poms from the Early Learning Centre.  They were purple and silver and the Clan play in purple - how good is that!

Since then, it's been a working week with both Mummy and Daddy at work.  I've spent some time playing at Gran's house, but yesterday we played at home.  I had a sleepy day yesterday - I must be growing again.

I'm One year old! I love my Birthday!

Wow!  I've had a great week!  It's been my birthday all week long I think.  Last weekend Grandpa and Gran came up to visit and we had a big party for me with Gran and Papa and Auntie Rita and Uncle Ian.  There was cake and everything.  Then we had another party for me on Saturday with Auntie Cat and Uncle David and my big boy cousins.
I got some lovely presents off people - everyone has been so very kind.  Uncle David and Auntie Cat got me clothes including a Peppa Pig outfit - it's not like fancy dress - it's like a T-shirt with Peppa Pig on it.  I had more clothes from Auntie Tor and Uncle Chris (well I am a girl and a girl can never have enough clothes!)  and Tasha and Bebe got me a cuddly fairy whose feet tinkle and whose wings crackle!

Gran and Grandpa got me a big pink house and some little people.  I think Noah was pleased that I got this and I've had to battle him all week to play with it!  As the week has gone on though, I've had more of it to myself.  The house even make sounds with the doorbell and the phone and the washing machine and the toilet all making noises!

Gran and Papa got me two doggy teddys, but I don't have a picture of them.  It's strange because I have been cuddling them all week, especially when I was a bit poorly and was more 'snotty' than Lottie!  The doggys are so soft and have a scarf and jumper on and I love to snugly my face into them!

Auntie Rita and Uncle Ian got me some bath toys and a phone with wheels on - it's a mobile phone!  I also had some plates and cups and a walking doggy and some new swimming costumes and lots, lots more.  Thank you everyone!  I had a super birthday week!

I touched a Starfish and a Crab!

What a cool week I've had.  On Monday, Mummy was at work which meant that Daddy had 'Full Parental Responsibilities'!   After playing with me at home in the morning whilst Noah was at school Daddy then planned that me, Noah and him would go on a big adventure.  Daddy took us to the Sealife Centre at Loch Lomond.  There were lots of fishies there and I also saw otters.  We then looked at a big tank that had sharks and a turtle and lots of other strange fishies.  I saw a turtle eating it's dinner and it was a green turtle because it mostly eats green things, like cabbage.  The turtle was eight years old but could well live to be over one hundred!  I also got to touch a starfish, but they have to stay in water because they will drown if not, or something like that.  I also touched a crab - which can breath in and out of water.  I can only breath out of water as breathing in water makes me cough.

As Mummy couldn't come on our adventure we got her a Nemo Fish Mug to make her happy.  I then went home, slept, ate - lots including two yogurts, played and the slept more.
This week I've learnt something new.  I've learnt to blow on my food when it is too hot.  I can't do it without making a 'blurrsrrsrsssp' noise which then makes me laugh.  Mummy taught me how to do it, but she doesn't make that noise, well not from her mouth anyway.
I'm still tumbling and not walking.  I've only got a week to crack it or I'm 'behind' Noah on the development scale. I'm not sure about this scale though as I've seen him do some really silly things!

The Ups and Downs of life!

I've finally gone and given myself a bump under my eye.  It has been long over due as I've been falling on my face most of the week.  This walking thing is far harder than it looks and I'm desperate to be walking before my birthday. I'm great at standing and not bad at dancing, but I just can't manage this walking thing yet.  I'm absolutely brilliant at climbing and I managed to get myself on the sofa - much to the amazement of my Mummy and Daddy who didn't even see me do it - I'm a ninja-baby, silent moving - beware - keep the baby wipes locked away, or I'll pull them all out of the packet!
Daddy was in a great mood after coming home from work today.  I think it's because he was so happy that our Derby County won today - surprising, as they've not been doing good and they were playing Swansea who were number 2 in the league!  He was so happy that he took us all out for dinner to Pizza Hut - which was lots of fun.  I had pasta salad, carrot sticks, garlic bread, chicken dippers, potato wedges and chicken pizza!

Happy Birthday Mummy!

Hammy Birthday Mummy!  Today is my Mummy's birthday.  She has had lots of them now, so I'm going to watch closely what happens because it's my first one in a few weeks time.  I'm hoping there will be balloons as I like balloons.  I also hope there will be cake - I like cake.  I also hope there will be ice-cream.  I had an ice-cream from the lolly van the other night and shared it with my Daddy.  It's best to put a little bit on your finger for him, beacuse he has a huge tongue that eats just too much if you let him lick it!  Anyway, Happy Birthday Mummy.  Love you! (And bring on the party food!)

A Socialising Weekend

After spending some time arranging my weekend using Daddy's phone everything was in place.  On Saturday I went to Funky Monkey's, McDonalds and then Gran and Papa's with Auntie Rita and Noah.  Mummy was asleep in bed as she had been working all night and Daddy was busy.  Then I went home for tea and then Mummy dropped me back off to spend the evening with Gran.  We went to listen to a band at the Salvation Army in Rutherglen whilst Daddy and Noah were at the ice hockey.

Noah is a good big brother to me - most of the time.  He did bite mt toe this morning, but on  the whole he does look after me good.  He shouts at me not to climb the stairs and yells too for Mummy or Daddy to get me quick.  He even drags me out of the kitchen sometimes or lies on me so I can't crawl so that I don't get hurt.  He always shares his food and sweeties with me - I think that he is great and I'm so glad that he's my brother.  He's been full of lovely cuddles recently - it's making me suspicious!

Ramette or Lamby?

The Derby County mascot is called Rammy - so is a little Derby County fan called a Ramette or a lamby?  Anyway, it doesn't really matter, all I know is Grandpa was really happy to see what Mummy had dressed me in the other day - a Derby County tracksuit.  The only problem was, when we were out for the day everyone kept thinking I was a boy!  Mummy and Daddy couldn't even be bothered to correct people in the end! Do people not recognise a highly trained athelete when they see one?  I'm great at the front crawl and in football I'm a great dribbler.  Derby County are not doing too well at the moment - perhaps I might even get a game if Mr Clough sees this and lets a girl play.  Daddy has high hopes that one of his children will be a successful sportsperson.  (I think he did hope it would be Noah, but thinks that he may be more into the arts - like dance - than sport, although Noah did say he wanted to be a goalie at the ice hockey!)  Daddy says he doesn't mind if I play for Scotland - but he also says, "Let's be honest, if she's good enough she'll play for England - if not, she'll play for Scotland!"  He only does it to wind people up.  I've even been in practice for the after sport bath!  Lesson one - do not eat the bubbles!  Lesson two - watch out for the T-rex.  Lesson three - the brown fish are not fish!

Good Days and Bad Nights!

I've not been feeling quite myself lately - sometimes my head just doesn't seem like it's mine!  That's my excuse for being a naughty girl last night and keeping Daddy awake from 2am - 4.45am!  I'm off his good girl list, but that's OK, because we only went to church today so there was plenty of time for me to catch up with my missed sleep.

Yesterday. when I was still on the good girl list, Daddy took me and Noah out for the Daddy.  We went out to make sure Mummy could get a sleep after working all night.  Daddy took us to a great place called the Glasgow Science Centre - there is so much I was allowed to play with there.  I splashed in water, played with big fans and coloured material, and sat on a big thing that went round and round and round.

I liked playing with the Lego bricks, but I was just a little short to reach the basin in the middle of the table.  Noah was a good big brother though and made sure I had some bricks, he does look after me good sometimes, although I think he was giving me the bricks he didn't want!  There is also lots of place to crawl and climb, so I made Daddy worked hard at keeping an eye on me and Noah.  I also got a new book from the gift shop - it has a finger puppet of a caterpillar with it.

Last night I went to see Gran and Papa because Mummy was going to work and Daddy and Noah were going to the Ice Hockey.  I had a lovely time and was fast asleep when Daddy came to pick me up.  Little did he know what was to come!

Tha face snuggling continues...

The face snuggling continues - I just love snuggling into stuff.  For the record, the sofa is more snugly than the rug, but the rug is more snugly than the wood flooring, which isn't snugly at all - just cold.

I've had a busy few days.  On Tuesday I went to the library with Mummy and it was good.  We sang a song called, "Clap, wiggle, stretch and jump" - it's just new words to "Heads, shoulders, knees and toes".  Sing along...
"Clap, wiggle, stretch and jump, stretch and jump.
Clap, wiggle, stretch and jump, stretch and jump,
And sway and wave and bend and bump.
Clap, wiggle, stretch and jump, stretch and jump."
Mummy liked it a lot and took great joy in showing Daddy when we came home.  He really wasn't that impressed, (he did have the man-flu) but still thought it was funny to change the word "bump" for "trump"!  He's so silly.  Auntie Gillian then came to play on Tuesday afternoon and apparently we went to feed ducks.  I was asleep so can't be sure we went anywhere!
Yesterday Daddy took Mummy, me and Noah to Nando's for lunch - which was lovely - his man-flu was almost better.  Then today I went with Mummy and Noah to Helen's Parent's and Toddlers at The Salvation Army in Dennistoun.  To be honest, I've been a bit of a grumpy-bum in the last few days though.  Mummy thinks my teeth at the back are pushing through - even more to count wrong!

Nice Sundays and Normal Mondays

Yesterday we had a lovely day.  Mummy, me and Noah went to church in the morning, whilst Daddy had a little sleep after being at work all night.  Yesterday afternoon Uncle 'Ickle Kevin and Auntie Love-Leigh came to visit us.  I haven't seen them much this month because Mummy and Daddy have been working at night and because we haven't been to the see the Braehead Clan ice hockey, so it was really nice that they came round to play.

I've learnt something new in the last few days and that is to pucker my lips when I give people a kiss.  As with any new skill, you only get better by practising.  I gave Uncle 'Ickle Kevin lots of kisses, but I got it wrong once - to his horror - when I forgot to keep my tongue in my mouth!

Today has been a normal Monday, dropping Noah at school, going to Parents and Toddlers and the visiting Gran and Papa and I've mostly eaten pasta.  I also have a new favourite thing, which is lying on things soft and snuggling in with my face.  You should give it a try as often as possible.

A night with Auntie Rita!

I got to spend last night with my Auntie Rita (and Uncle Ian) who was looking after me and Noah because Mummy and Daddy were both working night shifts.  I like my Auntie Rita a lot and I had a lovely time playing and watching TV and doing girlie things like getting dressed up and doing my nails.  Well actually, I'm too little to do my nails and I only got dressed up in my PJ's but it was still nice.  I like spending time with my Auntie Rita so much that I decided that I didn't really want to sleep and miss anything.  The only problem was I got a bit tired and ratty and was not really a good girl between 2.30 and 4.30am!  It's OK though because I've slept most of the day today. Thank you Auntie Rita for looking after me and Noah, sorry I was a grumpy-bum!

Re-count

After a judges inquiry (Mummy's harassing Daddy), there has been a re-count after I posted yesterday that I had 5 teeth.  The official figure is not 5 teeth, but 6. Sorry for any inconvenience that this error may caused. (I can't even count that far, so how am I supposed to know...)

Happy Birthday Papa!

Happy Birthday Papa!  I got up this morning and put on a pretty dress because today is my Papa's birthday.  The dress didn't last too long though as I ripped it when I was crawling - I need practice at being a girlie girl.  Papa and Gran came round for a party at lunch time and it lasted all afternoon.  I helped Papa open his cards and present and I think he liked them.  Parties are great because you get to eat lots of food and we had some lovely things to eat.  I can't wait now until my birthday which is coming around soon!

20% of my life - gone in a flash!

There have been lots of problems meaning that I haven't been able to blog, so Daddy says.  I've missed two months of my life - that's nearly 20%.
So here's my quick catch up.  I now have 5 teeth and I think I'm pushing out some back ones now.  I'm hugely mobile.  I have different crawling techniques depending on what I'm wearing and what surface I'm crawling on.  On carpet I crawl on my hands and knees.  On wooden flooring I crawl like a lame dog, keeping one leg straight to stop me sliding back.  Without socks on, I move to crawling on hands and and feet - it's like running on all fours! I can free stand, and have taken my first (and only) independent step, I will walk holding someones hands.  I am also a climber.  I can get all the way up the stairs in less than 30 seconds and I have been caught standing on the top level of Noah's garage.  Daddy thinks I don't have the gene that makes you naturally cautious.  He hasn't decided if I'm really daring or just really stupid, but thinks that either is going mean hours of waiting in A&E with me in the future.  Daddy also has a knew nick-name for me - Lottie-frog.  He calls me this because I kick my legs and swim like a frog when we go to the pool - I do like swimming.
I'm more vocal and can say "Dad", "Tickle, tickle" and "Good, good". I can also turn on the water-works either when Noah comes too close and I can't be bothered with him, or when Daddy tells me "No".
I'm also a proper girl with a squeal and a giggle!
